Alberta's Men and Women of Country Music Concert May 12, 2007 10am, Rimbey Community Center, Rimbey Alberta.
Hello! Well 2007 is going to be a little different... AWOCM and AMOCM will be on one day and the show will be called Alberta's Men and Women of Country Music Concert.
2007 will probably be my last year for doing shows. I have been doing shows for ten years now and I feel it would be time to let someone else with more resources take over. I will miss everyone but I will still send out my newsletter and keep up the web site and try to promote as many artists as I can that way.
The AWOCM award will go to June Torok from Calgary.... Awesome singer.songwriter and player for over 50+ years
The AMOCM award will go to Calvin Volrath from St Paul,.. Champion Fiddler who has done it all and been an inspiration to so many. He has performed everywhere and is very respected in the country music business.
10am to 12pm will be a youth show featuring Kayla Patrick, Candice Kinchen, The Borch Brothers and Emily Seal.
Others on the program are: Alex Dion- Hobbema,Katie Mission- Sherwood Park, Joanne Jensen- Edmonton, Mike Prusak- Winfield, Alice Sinclair- Edmonton, Jesse Fowler- Cochrane, Carmen Lindsay- Stony Plain, Lloyd Dolen-Strathmore, Wayne Dolen- Cochrane,.....and more....
Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door if there are any left by May 11th. Checks can be sent to AWOCM Box 57 Winfield Ab. T0C 2X0 Info 1-780-682-2295.
If you wish to be a T-shirt Sponsor send $100 to AWOCM and let me know which artist you would like to sponsor. $25 goes to getting the T-shirt made and the other $75 goes directly towards paying the artists $200 honorarium. You receive a years advertising on my site and in the AWOCM/AMOCM Newsletter.
